Its that time of year!! Everyone break out the sequined dresses, champagne, and of course…your list of new year resolutions. While I fully support all your resolutions (which you better fulfill by the way), I plan to grow and learn everyday of 2014 which might be too long of a list to share! So instead, lets look back at my 3 fav trends that have been occurring lately in 2013 shall we?
Tulle Skirt
What girl doesn’t want to be a ballerina? I love how the tulle skirt was turned into a feminine chic piece. I personally just purchased a maxi version of the trend, which you will see on here soon. You can edge this trend up or stick with the girly feel that it delivers on its own.

Leather
I would be lying if I said I didn’t live in my leather leggings. Im obsessed with keeping their edgy feel, but adding girly touches. I currently purchased the skirt pictured above, and it gives a little something extra versus a standard black skirt. I also have the shirt above except in grey, and the subtle hint of leather in some pieces adds dimension to a simple v-neck.
Plaid
Ignore the boys when they say you’re wearing lumberjack, because any girl can handle this pattern. In the previous post, I showed you my “on repeat” plaid scarf. I love how this trend started in the fall but is still around through the holidays. I especially love the red since I’m brunette and it fits more into the holidays as well.
Happy trending and a safe New Year!!
