The off the shoulder trend is booming! Every blogger and social media outlet will clearly display the many ways to rock this look. From dresses to tops, it adds a little bohemian into your wardrobe. Here is how I played with the trend-of course, in a budget friendly manner.Top: Target $5 Clearance Rack (Similar) | Overalls: Kohls (old) (Similar) | Wedges (old)
So, word of advice. Whenever you go into your favorite store and you know you’re about to drop some money-head straight towards the clearance. Many places I go, I do this anyway. I used to do it the other way around: find what I love, then see if I can find it cheaper in clearance.
This specific day at Target, I failed at my approach and went to full price items first. I found the perfect off the shoulder top! Loved it! It is the second link above by the way^^. Then I decided to head to clearance where I found the top I am wearing here, and it was only $5. I tried them both on twice and realized I was getting a great sale and obviously went for the $5 top. Avoid the struggle-go to clearance first.
I love this trend on dresses as well! Below are two of my favs right now (both under $100):
With rent a factor in my budget now, it is def minimizing the careless shopping sprees I used to partake in. Now, I must be smarter and make deal hunting a full-time job.
But, I must admit, presenting budget friendly outfits has been fun for me lately. Some of my friends tell me they can’t afford a nice wardrobe, and I love proving them wrong!
I’m excited it is Friday so I can rummage sale and relax this weekend!
I hope you have a great weekend! muah!
