Friday!! So good to see ya….and you of course, the reader.
I hope this week treated you well but the weekend will treat you even better. I am so excited today, because I can finally show you some shots of the cloffice—closet office.
I feel like I have been talking about this room for months and slowly but surely I have it 90% complete. This room is truly my little space and although it is not some extravagant crazy set up, I’m pretty proud of the details and storage I have now.
So the first things I got were these racks, the shelf, and white rugs. All from Ikea. Grand total of less than $100. I spray painted the shelf a textured gold color which turned out perfect!
I found this vase at Pier 1 a while ago and the fact that it says Bordeaux on it just makes me so giddy. And the invisible shelf is from Target ($25)
The hat wall!! It is mainly a creative way for me to have somewhere to put them. It was extremely important for me to have permanent places for my stuff. If I didn’t have that, I knew the room would just become a hot mess.
This ottoman holds all of my larger purses and bags. To be honest, I still have another closet in the bedroom that holds my cross bodies. I found this ottoman at the home decor store called At Home. Their stores are sort of like TJ Maxx in the way that you never know what you will find when you go there. We have two At Home stores in my area and I go to both of them. They have a decent selection online, but for example, my specific ottoman isn’t online so find your nearest store and be prepared to spend 3 hours in it–its wonderful.
This little accent table is also from At Home and was only $35! PS, that pink book is a flatlay coloring book, oh ya.
My mirror collage! So this is the wall that I was debating painting gray–what do you think? The room is pretty bright and open so I don’t think it would compromise the feel or anything, but I’m still not sure. Maybe it would make the mirrors pop more? The mirrors are also from At Home (again, just an amazing store).
This little nook of the room is where the actual closet is, but we just removed the sliding doors and Jeisson put up these shelves for me. I wish they didn’t have hinges on them but floating shelves are expensive man! We went to Menards and these shelves and hinges were a total of $50! I’m thinking of going to Target and getting those decorative bins to put my bottoms into so they aren’t exposed. Then it will make it easier to just grab a bin and take out what I need, because let’s be real, those piles of bottoms are never that neat haha.
So, the only things I want to do and get are an area rug, a more decorative chair, and then THIS mirror from Ikea. I have a big mirror like this now but just without the border. Plus the mirror will lean up against a utility door and hide it better. My jewelry box blocks the door handle now which you can kind of see below.
Ahhh, I’m so relieved to have finally shown you guys! I’ve moved on to other parts of the apartment now and it feels good to start focusing on making the apartment feel more homey. I hope this cloffice brings you inspiration to get your own wonderful space in your house and feel free to pin away! hehe
Do you have any wonderful plans this weekend? Aside from a pool party and rummages sales, I shall be on my couch. This week had so many events that I am exhausted!
Cheers! XO
