The below picture could not represent my current weather struggle better. The temps have been in the upper 80s with a high humidity. And while my sweaters are ready to go–mother nature refuses to let me enjoy my fall. Tropical with sweaters…who knew.
So the tropical weather and my sweaters will just have to mix I suppose. Given that offices are chilly and the pumpkin spices are flowing, sweaters will just have to deal with the crazy weather.
On a happier note, I found my every day black booties. By “every day”, I mean that I repeat them on a daily and are usually my go to until next May. My last pair was Vera Wang from Kohl’s. They had the perfect block heel and pointy toe. I knew that finding a replacement would be rough.
A couple of months ago, I was wandering through Macy’s trying to spend this gift card, which was not fun since I don’t like it there. However, when walking through the shoe department….I saw them.
This pair of Donald J Pliner booties that were not only gorgeous but extremely out of my budget.
Funny Story!!
So you all know I don’t like to spend a ton on stuff. Once I saw these booties and cuddled them for 5 minutes, I asked the saleswoman what coupons she had, figured out the price, and decided to think about it. I walked out to my car feeling all sad since I had to leave them behind. Ya know so I sat there for about 3 minutes figuring things out and such. Then, I said F it…I went back inside and told the lady I needed a 7.5.
Now the funny part…..While I was waiting for the saleswoman to get my size, I saw a lady who must have been around 50-60 years old (I’m terrible at guessing age). She was trying on the same booties!! She then continued to tell me how comfortable and amazing they are. Alongside the fact that she has owned Donald J Pliner shoes for a very long time. Did she secretly work there? So here we were, giggling and walking around in our fab new booties. Funny mental picture.
I can’t handle the mixed media and perfect block heel. I just had to break down and get them, because they are so perfect. I def can’t wear them in the snow though. My past ones were pretty sturdy but these, I will have to treat like glass. WORTH IT! Whoop whoop, bring on fall!

I’m going to be sharing an update on life soon. I am not sick anymore and things are finally starting to be normal again. The month of September has really been a rollercoaster. I hope all is well with everyone though!
