While I’ve been away, don’t think I didn’t make time to play. And I’m here today to tell you why!
I want to tell you about a spot that encompasses the chic side of Milwaukee. The fun yet elegant vibes that are rarely joined together. The place that gives you a different feeling on every floor you go on.
Welcome to the Kimpton Journeyman Hotel.
Its rare that you find a hotel with so many cool features and things to offer!
Lets start with the first floor shall we?
I’m going to break this down for you in floors since it’s just more fun that way okay?
Alright! First floor. It’s where my heart is to be honest. Why? Because there’s food and wine down there. There’s a group of staff that are obsessed with my dog or at least make me feel like they are which I totally accept. And there’s the most unique desserts ever.
To be honest, when you enter into the hotel and look around, you can’t help but notice that every square inch has the perfect ability to be your new hangout spot. They have an amazing fire display, chic couches, and a pool table. An adorable touch? They have your four-legged friend’s name written on a board when you stay there:

During the day, Jeisson and I love to either have a good Bloody Mary or brunch at Tre Rivali. It is the restaurant and café downstairs (pictured above) that has endless windows to bring in the sunshine and allow you to check out the adorable streets of the Third Ward.
I saved the best part of the first floor for last. The square footage that holds a little sweet spot in my heart. A part of my heart I save for Happy Hours.
Observe the lounge that has a happy hour from 5-6 everyday that gives the guests of the hotel complimentary wine!! Like, what? Is this real life? It’s the little touch that brings me in and a detail that I think most don’t know about!
Going up–Onto the Room!
So now that the 1st floor is fully explained, lets chat about the floors you’ll be sleeping on. I always make sure to stay in the suite that includes the tub that will change your life. Honestly. You’ve seen me post about it several times on my Instagram.
I love how the rooms have unique furniture and feel very special so I don’t feel like I am staying in a boring hotel room. Keeping it short and sweet, a hotel room is where I sleep and I like to focus on where I want to spend most of my time, which is somewhere having fun….
The 9th Floor
If you don’t know about The Outsider yet, well, I feel very sorry for you. So let me change your life and talk about the most trendy rooftop spot in Milwaukee. Since Christmas is coming up, I am hoping they have their adorable mugs and holiday themed drinks again. Even during the winter, The Outsider has the rooftop enclosed with the fireplaces going and its so cozy!
Essentially, I really encourage you to try out this hotel. The beauty of it is that you can enjoy so many aspects of this place even when you don’t need to stay there! It’s a constant giving type of love of ya know what I mean? With the holidays coming up, now is the perfect time for have your family come visit Milwaukee. You really have no excuse.
