Fall into Neutrals

No blog post title pun intended 🙂

img_5198On the days when you hate your closet, just throw a bunch of neutrals together and make it work. This is when I’m glad I have pieces with a little something extra–like the side tie on the skirt and the tie up feature on the shirt!

So I found my fall trench! I have always loved a good structured jacket, but for some reason, this one just suits me. It is from Woodbury Lane, but no longer available. However you can still shop some pieces from there—> Woodbury Lane

At first I thought it was too big, but then I thought…wait…layer this to death! Belt it and tie it and make it do so many things! Buying things that fit perfectly is not always the best route.

Not only is it the perfect shade of gray, but look at it. I’ve never had a gray cross body before honestly so just adding to the collection over here.

I’ve been super jealous watching everyone at NYFW. I can’t wait to go next year–well–that is the goal. Sometimes I question why we stayed in WI, because I could have just took a quick subway ride and saw everything! Oh well, I will live vicariously through all your snapchat stories

My current struggle is finding the best hair growth supplement. I am at that random in-between  length which I hate, so it needs to grow! Any suggestions?

LC Lauren Conrad Runway Collection

Is it just me….or do shorter weeks take the longest to end?

Maybe it is me, but this week’s workload has been up there! Alongside other fun things taking up my time.

The first highlight of my week was Lauren Conrad’s second Runway Collection launching. Last September–see here–she showed us her first runway collection for Kohl’s. Needless to say, none of us were disappointed.

Personal opinion here—her usual collections through Kohl’s are always the standard: florals, blouses, leggings. With her runway collections so far, she is able to tap into the trends. Some Kohl’s shoppers don’t worship the runways, therefore, might miss out on the styles that influence brands. With Lauren having this line, she takes those trends into a more muted environment.

So here is that magical time where we all rejoice about the PSL and patiently wait to layer in some plaid. What better time to throw in a great new collection from the woman we all consider our best friend.

I’m sure once it gets colder around here, I’ll replace the tee with a turtleneck or something.

Other than style fun, my four-day weekend started about 5 hours ago! Normally a person would get excited about that–but my weekend vibes were heightened by a thrilling email this afternoon! I can’t wait to share the adventure I get to partake in next week.

Aside from IG, don’t mind the radio silence while I soak up the last drops of summer, splurge on the Labor Day sales, and prepare to regret all the cookout treats I will indulge in.
