Happy Monday! I know you’re not super thrilled about today which is why I decided to post this today. Cheer up your Monday with these ultra budget friendly fall essentials.
I thought about the pieces that I layer and repeat the most. Not a lot of these pieces are super trendy, but you will wear them over and over. So here we go!
Knee High Boots: You will always wear these with jeans or dresses. Use them to keep you warm. An outfit will never be boring with a show stopping pair. Plus its nice to switch between flat, wedge, or heel. And yes, I put bordeaux in there, but only because it will vibe with all your fall colors.
Fancy Feet: Swap out your usual black loafers and grab a pair of shoes that will add excitement to your all black attire. These beautiful fall colors look great on a sweater but put them on something else!
Scarf: Of course it is not freezing out yet, thank goodness, but a blanket scarf can do more than keep you warm. Focus on a thick fabric later, right now, go for a thin option. During the summer, we accessorize less, but this is fall, we accessorize with scarves!
Striped Shirt: You’re going to be a layering professional this fall. You need to get a few striped shirts that work with the right outfit. Currently, I have about 5. A long shirt dress when I have long layers, a turtleneck option for under sweaters, and a crew neck for under jackets and such. Stripes is your neutral when you have loud patterns or colors.
Trench: So you’re leaving for work in the AM and its 53 degrees. But when you head home, it will be about 64. Insert the perfect light jacket that can balance this crazy climate change. Even if you don’t want to keep warm, a trench is the finishing touch that you never expected. In previous posts, I sport a sleeveless trench dress as a layering vest!
Long Fur Vest: I put a fur vest over everything. And I mean everything. On a lazy Sunday when you have a crew sweater and jeans, throw on a fur vest to jazz up any plain jane outfit.
Alongside these options, there are so many other basics that you repeat more than you might notice. Like….black booties, flat brim hats, chunky knits, trousers, or jewel tone work friendly bags. I want to share more options with you, which I plan to do once I stare at my closet more and pick out those pieces I would die without.
Happy shopping! xo
