Holiday Gift Guide: The Coworker

The holidays are upon us! Don’t wait until the last-minute to get all these gifts!! In the next couple of weeks, I will share as many gift guides as I can. Ranging from all the various people in your lives.

To start, I wanted to focus on the people you spend 40+ hours a week with. Whether you’re in the corporate world or not, you have coworkers…assistants…a team…a boss. Someone helps you do what you do. Make her day by getting something small yet effective. Of course, not everyone likes who they work with but…hopefully you have someone or an individual who should be recognized.

Fall Color Overload….Check

Happy Wednesday! You’re half way there and I believe in you. Friday will be here before you know it. Until then, here’s an outfit post full of fall colors, trends, and patterns.

And…its a budget post! This Nordstrom Rack dress….$12. The brand is Daniel Rainn. I still made sure to find some other dresses identical to this one for you.

I got this wrap at a church event where local vendors sold their items but like always I found other options for you. I’m sure we are all still about wraps, blanket scarves, and ponchos. This one is fabulous because it is not as structured as your average cape for example. To be completely honest, it was my tree skirt last year lol

Are you all excited the election season is over?!?! Yes? Yes? I know it is an important time for our country but it just gets to you. Like always, I will leave the country’s fate in God’s hands. I’m hoping all this separation will end between everyone and we all realize were in it together.

Has anyone started decorating for Christmas or realized that Target will make you want to start? It is amazing all the themes and goodies they have. Its trouble! For the next couple of weeks though, I will enjoy soaking up the fall season before I transition into more holiday…which means reds, sequins, whites, and lace!

Winter Essentials: My NYC Christmas Trip

Very exciting! We are going to New York City for Christmas! I’m sure my trip won’t be like Kevin’s (Home Alone 2), but I plan on standing in front of the lit up Rockefeller Christmas tree. The last time we were in NYC was in March (see below), and it was a tad chilly then. Given this time we are obvi going in Winter, I need to make sure my winter gear is established.

Now, we will be there in 7 weeks and it was extremely nice in Wisconsin the last few weeks. I know how Mother Nature works so I want to be prepared for any type of winter situation. Of course when the trip comes closer I won’t bring my huge snow boots if not needed, but I’m sure I will need them anyway.

You guys, I am just dyyyying to walk through Central Park in this weather. That is why I’m being so crazy to make sure I am winter ready so I can enjoy it and not freeze to death. And Christmas at Tiffany’s? EEK

I’m sure a lot of you are asking why I don’t already have extreme winter gear given that Wisconsin has extreme winters. Well, I can’t answer that. We have had some bad ones but I guess I used Hunter boots or just hibernated. This year, I want a good pair of Sorels or something. Give me the cutest hat and gloves…and the perfect jacket (because I just layer layer layer right now).

So, since I am not the only one experiencing winter around here, I thought it would be fun to share some of the items I am shopping for and maybe you’ll see some pieces you love too!

Winter Boots:snow boots

So I want a pair of boots that are going to keep me warm but not made for 20 inches of snow. I personally want numbers 5 and 6….so bad! I checked and Sorel will have some great deals for Cyber Monday!

I am so torn when it comes to a coat…or a jacket…or a parka. You see? I will have to buy one once the trip gets closer due to weather changes and such. I have a nice gray coat now but numbers 1 and 5 are wonderful!

I’m sorry but #2 is so funny!! I will be getting those regardless. And of course I had to pick out bordeaux ones.

I’m getting so excited for this trip!! Once I have all the things that will keep me warm, I can focus on outfits…and I’m sure that will take me forever!!
