Holding Onto Summer

IMG_0370Finally Autumn is here, but I am trying to cherish the few warm nights we have left. Last night I enjoyed some girl time during happy hour at an outside lounge. The bar is called The Yard and it is connected to the Iron Horse hotel in Milwaukee. DesigNation for Kohls: THAKOON

Welcome September!! The month when all my fall fashion dreams come true. Aside from the festivities going on this month, Kohl’s has two major launches to add to the fun! The first is designer Thakoon Panichgul, and his new collection for Kohl’s fits my style to a T! The British inspired collection has the colors and textures that fit the season.

Preview the collection HEREcollageDo you see all the bordeaux? I can’t handle it! That flannel vest is going to be my fall staple…I just know it. The collection launches the first day of #NYFW so September 10th is going to be a great day for me! I can set some of my apartment decorating to the side for this.

Speaking of the apartment….I am all moved in! I just hung my bordeaux curtains last night. With the help of Pier 1, Kohl’s, and Bed, Bath, and Beyond, my place is definitely coming together. Once I find where to put these 3 boxes of shoes, I will start sharing the details!

Moving Day

It is hard to contain my excitement! Although I am exhausted, today is the day that I complete the move. Living in downtown Milwaukee is going to be a blast and we all know I’m a city girl so its perfect. I’m curious to see how long I stay in the big city, but for now, it feels right.

I am super anxious to show you all the final product once I am done decorating (and finding a way to condense my three closets that I have now). My apartment has a small cozy feel to it which I am going to love! It has little details in it that sold me. For example, in the kitchen, there is a small window with a cute little ledge and it is perfect for sitting on the counter and just viewing the city:imagePS. That is chai flavored ice cream I’m eating. Yes. Purple Door Ice Cream in Milwaukee is fueling my addiction. Currently that is the only food in my fridge! hehe

Well, wish me luck as I guide the movers, unpack the boxes, and hang the mirrors. The rooms are going to fill up quickly today and it will all come together! And it will be nice to have a couch to sit on versus my little storage guy here:image
